Switching to Sky
Sky Switch Squad make sure switching from your current provider to Sky goes quickly and smoothly. If you need an engineer for a new line installation then the Sky team will help you do book an appointment, or they can simply switch your services if you already have a line in place.
If you are joining Sky from BT, TalkTalk, Plusnet or EE then the Sky Switch Squad will handle the transfer and you won’t need to speak to your existing provider to cancel. If you are with Virgin Media, BT Ultrafast or a full fibre provider then you will need to cancel your services with your existing provider.
What router do I get?
Sky provides fibre broadband customers with the amazing new Sky Q Hub, a dual-band router which is their fastest and most reliable yet. The router uses latest technology to bring you much faster speeds than Sky’s previous routers. The router includes Smart Signal Technology which selects the best channel for the clearest signal. The Sky Q Hub can connect up to 64 devices at one time and is a great option for families and busy connected homes.
Customers can choose from a range of Sky Talk packages, with inclusive calls to UK landlines and mobiles.
Sky Talk Evenings & Weekends Extra offers inclusive calls to UK landlines and mobiles Monday to Friday evening as well as all weekend. Sky Talk Anytime Extra offers inclusive calls to UK landlines and mobiles Monday to Friday between 7am and 7pm, Monday to Friday Evenings and weekends. Sky Talk International Extra offers the same as the Anytime Extra package plus the benefit of inclusive calls to 50 international destinations (see Sky website for details). All packages include 24/7 calls to Sky Customer Service.
If you don’t use the home phone much then you can choose Sky Pay As You Talk and you’ll only be charged for the calls that you make. You will get this package as standard if you don’t choose a Sky Talk option.
