How fast is Zzoomm broadband?
The fastest! As a full fibre service on its own network, Zzoomm is much quicker than most other providers. Even its lowest speed of 200Mbps is over double the maximum speed you can achieve with traditional broadband. It’s one of the few to openly offer a 2Gig package, which is as quick as they come and often kept just for businesses broadband deals.
But remember, where you live will also play a big factor. We’ll list everything below, but you’ll also need to check your postcode to see what is currently available.

**Speed is often the biggest consideration when choosing a broadband package. If you have multiple people using the internet at one time, then a higher speed and bandwidth will be essential. Equally, if it’s a small household using the internet for everyday usage, paying for business-grade bandwidth will probably end up being a waste.**
You should decide what speed is right for you, based on your broadband habits at home. Here’s a handy guide to help show what bandwidth usage your different applications need.

Zzoomm broadband speeds
There are four full-fibre options. All are symmetrical. This means that they give the same upload and download speeds. Upload speeds are normally considerably lower, which makes this a great choice if you need a connection that can handle very large file uploads and gaming.
200 Full Fibre
A great plan that powers a download speed and upload speed of 200Mbps. It’s well equipped to handle large content uploads, streaming and online gaming.
500 Full Fibre
This powerful plan offers users typical download and upload rates of 500Mbps. An incredibly fast connection, that is great for large households, multiple devices and downloading and streaming movies and videogames in UHD (ultra high definition).
1Gig Full Fibre
It's the holy grail 'one-gig' internet. Symmetrical speeds of 1Gig is incredibly fast, and only really of use to people who download and update a lot of very large files such as videogames.
2Gig Full Fibre
Does anyone really need 2Gig? No, well not in the next couple of years anyway. But if you want to future-proof your home and have peace of mind that you will always have the fastest, most stable internet available, then this is the one for you.
Zzoomm full fibre review
What exactly is full fibre?
All of Zzoomm’s plans are full fibre and it’s the fastest available internet in the UK.
Around two-thirds of homes in the UK can now access ultrafast broadband via fibre-optic technology called ‘G.fast’ or ‘Fibre To The Premises’ (FTTP).
Full fibre is the next generation of broadband. It removes the need to rely on copper phone lines and instead connects fibre cables straight to your home. This means there’s no slowdown on the data between the street cabinet and your property and the speed and strength are much more powerful than any previous fibre broadband technology as a result. Common internet issues like buffering and outages become almost non existent.
This technology will future-proof homes and businesses across the UK because, once it’s installed, properties won’t need to install new cables for their broadband for decades.
Our Zzoomm broadband rating for speed: 9
Does Zzoomm broadband have reliable connection?
Zzoomm runs on its own full fibre network to deliver its internet services. This is different to most of the big suppliers (main exception Virgin Media or any of the other smaller, alternative networks) as they mainly rely on Openreach’s network for their connections. This seems to be a good thing as it doesn’t have to depend on another company to fix any faults or dictate their rollout locations.
Zzoomm isn’t currently signed up to Ofcom’s voluntary code practice on better broadband speeds, but customer scores are well above average on its Trustpilot rating for connectivity.
Wi-Fi Range Extender
For an extra £7.95 a month you can add Wi-Fi Range Extender to your package. This add-on uses Wi-Fi extenders to make sure you get seamless coverage all around your home regardless of the size, layout or thickness of walls in your building.
Our Zzoomm broadband rating for connectivity: 9
How much does Zzoomm broadband cost?
Currently Zzoomm’s best offer is £24.95 a month for full fibre speeds of 500Mbps, which is actually great value and cheaper than its slower 200 Mbps package.
Zzoom also has no set-up costs or hidden fees. It also doesn’t increase your price mid-contract, so your deal will stay the same for the whole time.
Average price guide

Currently all of Zzoomm’s contracts are 12 months. At the end of these as prices rise and you’ll default to a higher rolling monthly payment.
Does Zzoomm have any bundle options?
Zzoomm doesn’t have TV packages but it does have a VOIP (voice over internet protocol) service you can add alongside your broadband. Replace your landline with Zzoomm Voice for £4.80 a month and get free local and national calls, you can keep your existing home phone number too.

No, it doesn’t. Unlike many other providers all plans promise: ‘No mid-contract price rises’ at any time.
Our Zzoomm broadband rating for cost: 9
How easy is it to get Zzoomm set up?
Once you’ve selected your package, depending on your postcode, it takes an average of 7 days (14 days max) to get your new order to go live. Because it uses its own network, you’ll need an engineer to visit and install its cabling.
Your new fibre optic connection will happen in one of three ways and these typically takes less than two hours. The method they choose is determined by how they have had to design the network to the property. It will either be: via a channel where a small trench is dug (this will be returned to normal afterwards), run through existing underground infrastructure or through an overhead telegraph pole.
Zzoomm Wi-Fi routers
All packages by Zzoomm come with the high-spec Wi-Fi 6 Icotera i4882 router. It has eight antennas for transmitting and receiving which should provide whole-home Wi-Fi coverage for a 3 bedroom property. They are a particularly powerful and configurable pieces of kit and much better than most free routers given out by other providers.
