Shell does not offer television subscriptions or mobile phone contracts; instead, it focuses solely on internet and landline services.
Broadband Packages
Fast broadband: An ADSL line with an average speed of 11Mbps is the cheapest Shell Energy broadband option. This includes unlimited downloads and line rental on an 18-month contract.
Superfast Fibre: average speeds of 38Mb, pay as you go calls, unlimited downloads on an 18 month contract.
Superfast Fibre Plus: average speeds of 67Mb, pay as you go calls, unlimited downloads on an 18 month contract.
Ultrafast Fibre: average speeds of 145Mbps, pay as you go calls, unlimited downloads on an 18 month contract.
Ultrafast Fibre Plus: average speeds of 290Mbps, pay as you go calls, unlimited downloads on an 18 month contract.
Full Fibre: Shell Energy Broadband offers 5 speed brackets of full fibre: 100Mb, 200Mb, 300Mb, 500Mb and a lightning fast 900Mb. There is limited availability for these packages but Openreach is deploying FTTP across the country and more areas go live every week. Full Fibre products do not include a landline.
Unlimited Data Usage Shell Energy Broadband offers unlimited, uncapped usage with no traffic management so there are no additional data usage costs.
Contracts Contracts are typically 18 months in length.
Router
New Superfast Fibre, Superfast Fibre Plus and Full Fibre customers receive a Dual-band Wi-Fi 6 hub. This hub features Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax), 2.4GHz (2x2), 5GHz (4x4), Band steering, Automatic Channel Selection, WPS, 4 x Gigabit Ethernet ports for LAN and 1 x Gigabit Ethernet port for WAN.
Superfast Fibre Essentials, Ultrafast Fibre or Ultrafast Fibre Plus customers will be given a dual-band Technicolour DGA0122 wireless router, featuring 802.11ac, 2.4 GHz (2x2) Wi-Fi 4, 5 GHz (3x3) Wi-Fi 5, WPS and 4 x Gigabit Ethernet ports for LAN and 1 x Gigabit Ethernet port for WAN.
Fast Broadband and Fast Broadband Essentials customers will be given a single-band Zyxel AMG1302 wireless router, featuring 802.11 b/g/n 2.4 GHz, WPS and 4 x Ethernet ports for LAN.
Price Increases
