Community Fibre hits major milestone in London
Community Fibre has announced it now connects over 400,000 homes and businesses across London, serving more than 1.4 million people. The provider has become the capital’s largest alternative broadband network, with demand for faster internet continuing to rise.
Over the past year, Community Fibre has seen its customer base grow by a third, with most households choosing gigabit speeds or faster. Many are even opting for its 2.5Gbps and 5Gbps packages – the fastest broadband available in London – showing just how popular ultrafast connections have become for streaming, gaming, and working from home.
The company also revealed it has turned a profit for the first time, with earnings on track to hit £70 million by the end of 2025. This financial stability means it can continue to expand and launch new services, such as its recently introduced data roaming eSIM.
Community Fibre has also struck a major partnership with VodafoneThree, making its broadband available to even more households across the capital.
CEO Graeme Oxby says: “Our relentless focus on network and sales excellence, lean operations, and industry-leading service is the foundation for sustainable success in the Altnet market.
Community Fibre continues to prove that new broadband competition can not only be financially sustainable in the long run, it can also deliver meaningful advantages to UK society.”
