Is BeFibre broadband a good choice?
Our overall rating: 9 out of 10
Some customers may be hesitant to choose a smaller broadband brand – and that’s understandable. Picking a name you’ve never heard of can feel risky. But, as with many alternative providers offering gigabit-capable broadband on their own full fibre networks, there are big rewards for those willing to take a chance.
BeFibre keeps things simple with four straightforward packages, ranging from 200Mbps to a lightning-fast 2,300Mbps. All plans include symmetrical speeds (where uploads match downloads), and they’re typically far cheaper than deals from the bigger providers. Better still, BeFibre promises no mid-contract price hikes.
To help build trust, BeFibre also offers flexible options such as shorter contracts and a 30-day cooling-off period. The only drawback is availability – the network currently only reaches around 270,000 UK premises. So before you get too excited, you’ll need to check if BeFibre has rolled out to your postcode.
The positives
- Cheaper prices
- Fast full fibre with symmetrical speeds
- Flexible contract options
- Free Wi-Fi 7 router
The negatives
- Limited availability
- No TV options
In our full review we take a look at the pros and cons of each area in more detail: speed, full fibre review, cost, setup and customer service.
How fast is BeFibre broadband?

Speed is often the biggest consideration when choosing a broadband package. If you have multiple people using the internet at one time, then a higher speed and bandwidth will be essential. Equally, if it’s a small household using the internet for everyday usage, paying for business-grade bandwidth will be a waste.
You should decide what speed is right for you, based on your broadband habits at home. Here’s a handy guide to help show what bandwidth usage your different applications need.

BeFibre broadband packages
There are four full-fibre options. All with symmetrical download and upload speeds.
Be200
Even BeFibre’s slowest plan offers an impressive 200Mbps upload an download speed. This speedy package can easily handle 8-10 devices all requiring an internet connection at the same time. Gamers will be kept happy with its equal-to-download 158Mbps upload speed.
Be500
Incredibly fast connection, great for large households, multiple devices and downloading and streaming movies and videogames in UHD (ultra high definition). This has an average download and upload speed of 500Mbps.
Be1000
BeFibre’s most popular plan. This full fibre package offers users a lightning fast average download and upload speed of 900Mbps which will easily support 12+ devices for the ultimate experience in large, busy households.
Be2300
There's fast and then there's this. Will you ever need an average download – and upload – speed of 2530Mbps? Probably not. But it will cover all your needs seamlessly, so you're basically future-proofed and covered in every way.
BeFibre full fibre review
What exactly is full fibre?
Around 85% of UK homes can now access this ultrafast service, known as ‘Fibre to the Premises’ (FTTP), via a range of networks – including BeFibre. Unlike older connections that rely on copper phone lines, full fibre uses fibre-optic cables running directly to your home. This eliminates slowdowns between the street cabinet and your property, delivering faster, more reliable speeds than any previous broadband technology.
Once installed, full fibre is designed to future-proof homes and businesses for decades, with no need for new cabling to support faster services in the future.
If you can’t get full fibre yet, it may not be long before you can. The UK government’s goal is for 99% of the country to have access to gigabit-capable broadband by 2030.

Does BeFibre broadband have a reliable connection?
Because BeFibre runs on its own full fibre network, it controls every aspect of delivering your internet service – unlike many providers that rely on the Openreach network. This has clear benefits. On Trustpilot, customers frequently praise BeFibre’s smooth and stable connection.
BeMesh
For peace of mind connectivity, you can add BeMesh to your plan. This mesh Wi-Fi service ensures top-tier speed, reliability and coverage in every room – perfect for larger homes or properties with thick walls where a single router might struggle.
It includes a powerful Wi-Fi extender, which can be set up in minutes to supercharge your BeFibre connection. By creating a seamless network between your main router and this, you’ll enjoy consistent signal strength.

How much does BeFibre broadband cost?
BeFibre offers excellent value. Deals start from just £22 a month for 200Mbps and prices are fixed for the length of your contract – so no mid-term hikes to worry about. There are also no upfront costs, with setup, installation and activation all included for free. It’s a refreshingly transparent approach.

How long are BeFibre contracts?
BeFibre offers great flexibility with its contracts, allowing you to take any of its four packages on a rolling monthly, 12-month, or 18-month term. The longer the contract, the lower the monthly cost – but the short-term option is ideal if you only need internet for a limited time.
Does BeFibre have TV or phone add ons?
BeFibre doesn’t have TV or mobile packages you can bundle with its broadband, it just focuses on full fibre broadband.
The option to add a phone landline is available as an add-on service. This is provided as a VoIP (voice over internet protocol) service and currently costs around an extra £10 on top of whatever broadband plan you select. This price includes unlimited UK mobile and landline calls.
BeFibre rewards
This smaller provider rarely offers any gift cards or cashback rewards. However, BeFibre deals are sometimes available with a sign-up offer, such as flash sales where the first few months are heavily reduced.
Does BeFibre put up its broadband prices every year?
No, it doesn’t. Unlike many other providers all plans promise: ‘No in-contract price hikes’ at any time
