Freely to add 10 new streaming channels

Broadband-based TV platform Freely is set to expand its lineup with 10 new live streaming channels in 2026 – another big step forward for the UK’s newest free-to-air streaming service.
Backed by the BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and Channel 5, Freely is the next evolution of Freeview and Freesat – bringing live TV and on-demand content together through an internet connection, rather than relying on an aerial or satellite dish.
The new channels, supported by Hearst, Bloomberg TV+ and AMC Networks International UK, include BLAZE, Bloomberg TV+, Talking Pictures TV, Gemporia, Local TV, TRUE CRIME UK, Evidence of Evil, Bloodline Detectives, Love After Lock Up and AMC Reality.
They join AMCNI UK’s existing lineup on Freely, which already features LEGEND, TRUE CRIME and WATCH FREE UK.
The expansion follows Channel 4’s recent launch of Freely-exclusive channels 4Reality, 4Homes and 4Life, with additional ITV and Channel 5 content expected soon. Once live, Freely will carry over 70 live channels, plus a growing collection of on-demand shows and boxsets.
Jonathan Thompson, CEO of Everyone TV (formerly Digital UK), which operates Freely, said:
“This latest round of content partners marks another step forward for Freely as we scale up the platform for viewers and partners alike. Our research shows just how much audiences still value British free-to-air television – not just the flagship channels, but the wider family of channels that continue to surprise and entertain us. Freely brings all of that together in one place, for free.”
Freely is a broadband-only live TV service that lets viewers stream the UK’s free channels over the internet – with no aerial or satellite dish required.
Developed by Everyone TV – the organisation jointly owned by the BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and Channel 5 – it combines traditional live TV with on-demand streaming in one place.
It’s not replacing Freeview or Freesat just yet, but it’s designed for the growing number of UK homes that now depend on fast, reliable broadband rather than old-style broadcast signals.
To stream Freely smoothly, you’ll need a stable broadband connection – ideally at least 10–20 Mbps for HD viewing and 50 Mbps or more if multiple devices are streaming at once.
If you’re planning to stream Freely or other services like Netflix, Disney+ or BBC iPlayer, it’s worth checking what broadband speeds are available in your area.
