4th Utility broadband plans
In slow to fast order
100Mbps
This full fibre package has an upload and download speed of 100Mbps. It’s well equipped to handle large content uploads, streaming and online gaming.
250Mbps
A great plan that powers a download speed and upload speed of 250Mbps. This choice can manage the demands of the heaviest data users.
500Mbps
This powerful plan offers users typical download and upload rates of 500Mbps. An incredibly fast connection, that is great for large households, multiple devices and downloading and streaming movies and videogames in UHD (ultra high definition).
900Mbps
Will you ever really need 900Mbps and the power to be connected to 120 digital devices at the same time? Maybe not, but if you want to future-proof your home and have peace of mind that you will always have the fastest, most stable internet available, then this is the one for you.
4th Utility Wi-Fi routers
All customers signing up will get the Icotera i4850-25 router with their broadband. It's a reliable bit of kit with decent coverage, but it is only Wi-Fi 5 (rather than Wi-Fi 6), meaning it doesn't offer the fastest performance available.
Switching to 4th Utility is easy
Once you have signed up, the average switchover time to 4th Utility is about ten days. You’ll keep your existing broadband until then and you should only be without internet for about 30 minutes on the actual day of your switch.
Because it uses its own infrastructure rather than your existing landline, you’ll need an engineer visitor to install its cable network.
Your home’s internet connection will be connected externally to the network in two ways. Either overhead from a telephone pole or underground to the nearest 4th Utility connection point. The process shouldn’t take longer than two hours.
The engineering process is free of charge, unless you are opting for a monthly rolling contract and it will be £19.99.
Price increases
4th Utility increases its monthly price by £3 in line with the retail or consumer price index every March. Please refer to individual terms and conditions before signing up.
