This independent provider offers fast, flexible, affordable full fibre. With 30-day contract options and prices that start from £25, there's a lot to like about 4th Utility for those who have access.
And who does have access? Well, the good news is that 4th Utility now uses three different networks to deliver its broadband – 4th Utility, Openreach and CityFibre – so it can supply connectivity to most of the UK.
Broadband packages
All of 4th Utility’s plans are symmetrical speeds. This means upload speeds are equal to that of download speeds. Great news for gamers!
150 Mbps
This full fibre package has an upload and download speed of 150Mbps. It’s well equipped to handle large content uploads, streaming and online gaming.
200 Mbps
A great plan that powers a download speed and upload speed of 200Mbps. This choice can manage the demands of most heavy data users.
300 Mbps
An impressive plan that powers an average download speed of 300Mbps. This option is great for multi-person, multi-device households.
500 Mbps
This powerful plan offers users typical download and upload rates of 500Mbps. An incredibly fast connection, that is great for large households, multiple devices and downloading and streaming movies and videogames in UHD (ultra high definition).
900 Mbps
Will you ever really need 900Mbps and the power to be connected to 120 digital devices at the same time? Maybe not, but if you want to future-proof your home and have peace of mind that you will always have the fastest, most stable internet available, then this is the one for you.
Switching to 4th Utility
Switching to 4th Utility should be pretty straight forward. Once you’ve selected your package, it normally takes around 16 days for your order to go live. If you need an engineer for a new line installation then 4th Utility will arrange for this. Or, if you already have a suitable full fibre line in place, you’ll be posted out a router that just needs to be activated on your go-live date.
Excellent customer service
With a TrustPilot Rating of 4.3 from over 4,500 independently verified customer reviews and 79% of these rated as ‘Excellent’, 4th Utility scores higher than most of the bigger, better known providers.
Price increases
4th Utility increases its monthly price by £3 in line with the retail or consumer price index every March. Please refer to individual terms and conditions before signing up.
