BT TV

BT TV is BT’s own subscription TV platform for its home phone and broadband customers. BT TV is a blend of terrestrial free-to-air programming, on-demand TV and movies, catch-up and also BT’s very own sports service, BT Sport, which includes Premier League football, exclusive UEFA Champions League coverage and a host of other top sports.

TV services are delivered to you via a YouView set-top box and provide some of the channels while your internet connection delivers the live and on-demand channels. (YouView was a set-top box platform shared between BT, TalkTalk and Arqiva and combines digital TV, catch up and on demand services).

BT offers a choice of four set-top boxes: the Mini YouView box (without record function), with a stand-alone tuner but without a hard disk which allows you to pause live TV when necessary.

With a mini BT YouView box you can:

• Pause and rewind live TV for up to 30 minutes for SD programmes and 14 minutes for HD programmes
• Watch Freeview channels, including HD
• Watch Sports, Kids, Movies, HD and Extra channels (subscription only)

Next up is the YouView+ box which has a dual-tuner and a 500GB hard disk, perfect for storing your favourite TV and movies.
With the BT YouView+ box you can:

The premium box it the YouView+ Ultra HD which is also a dual tuner but comes with a gigantic 1TB hard disk. The Ultra HD box does everything a YouView+ box does, but has the premium feature of Ultra HD, so if you have an Ultra HD/4K TV, the box will allow you to watch Ultra HD content. BT Ultra HD content is available with the Total Entertainment or Max packages.

Football: BT has built a dizzying array of football coverage such as exclusive live coverage of all UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League matches, 42 live Premier League matches each season, 30 FA Cup matches and 30 live Scottish Premier League matches as well as coverage from Ligue 1 and the Bundesliga.

Rugby: BT Sport covers around 80 matches each season from the Premiership, the quarters, semis and finals of the European Champions Cup, Challenge Cup and four Premiership Rugby Sevens games each year.
