Hyperoptic land ‘Best Superfast Broadband’ at ISPA UK 20th Annual UK Internet Industry Awards.
Superfast fibre broadband supplier, Hyperoptic, won top prize for Best Superfast Broadband at the ISPA 2018 awards at Manchester’s iconic Midland Hotel. This was the sixth year running that they have won the award. Community Fibre received a commendation for their contribution and delivery of free gigafast connectivity to primary schools, sheltered housing and other community facilities within their network area.
Other winners were Gigaclear who also retained the Best Rural Broadband title. More than 60 companies and organisations entered the awards and competed over 13 prestigious categories.
ISPA Awards Chair of Judges Andrew Ferguson commented: “I would like to congratulate all the winners at this special 20th ISPA Awards ceremony. This year saw a strong and dynamic set of entries in both new and returning categories. I am pleased to see that in an ever-changing industry, ISPA and the awards are still going strong after all this time. I remember the days when there were dial-up providers entering the various categories and people were getting excited of broadband speeds around 1Mbps. Today there are a number of entrants selling superfast all the way to Gigabit based services that cost a lot less than a latte a day.”
The Best ISP PR Campaign went to Post Office Broadband for their Optimise & Improve campaign.
